PeaceQuest Greater Lansing, coordinated by Greater Lansing United Nations Association, is a community-wide celebration of International Day of Peace (September 21) and the United Nations Day (October 24). Peace-related events are held throughout our community from September 15 to October 30 (See schedule).
International Day of Peace was declared by the UN General Assembly with a resolution passed unanimously in 1981. United Nations Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter.
PeaceQuest brings us ALL together for fun and interesting activities with friends, family, and community while focusing on ways we can promote peace, resolve conflicts, learn about other faiths and cultures, and encourage mutual understanding.

In 2015 the 193 nation-states of the United Nations identified the Global Goals, also known as the Sustainable Development Goals, to be reached by 2030. We believe that there will be greater peace in our world as these goals are met. As you will see, the events on our PeaceQuest calendar reflect the goals.
